x402 Discovery Catalog

This page renders the same discovery JSON that autonomous agents consume at /discover?format=json (or Accept: application/json). Use it to understand Ontario’s strict discovery filters (grade, score, verification history) before an agent pays.

What /discover is (and isn’t)

/discover is a strict, machine-readable catalog for agents and developers to shortlist x402-paid endpoints using observed readiness signals (challenge behavior, manifests, report history, and public evidence links).

  • For agents: fetch JSON with ?format=json or Accept: application/json.
  • For humans: browsers render this HTML view by default; you can also use ?format=html.
  • Not a guarantee: inclusion is point-in-time readiness evidence, not a safety or quality certification.

Common filters (query params):

  • grade=ready|close|needs_work|pending (use ready for pre-payment shortlists)
  • min_score=0..100 (readiness score threshold)
  • category=trust|payments|... (service category)
  • include_pending=true (generally avoid for agent payment decisions)
  • limit=100 (cap results)

If you’re listing your own service, start with /verify to get a public report ID, then submit via /listings. Listings may appear as pending while evidence is strengthened.

Catalog density
First-party: 4 · Third-party: 0 · Third-party verified: 0

Marketplace is early: there are currently no third-party services in the catalog. If you publish an x402 endpoint, the fastest path is: run /verify → fix warnings until grade=ready → submit via /listings#submit-service. See: /proof/x402-discovery-listing-checklist.

Ontario Protocol provides readiness and trust signals based on observable endpoint behavior, manifest metadata, payment challenge behavior, report history, and public evidence. It does not guarantee endpoint safety, service quality, financial outcome, or future behavior. Agents should still enforce budget, policy review, and independent verification before spending.
